Northeast Mississippi Community College gears up for home football opener

Northeast Mississippi Community College is preparing for its home football game against East Central on Thursday night. The college scheduled several events to celebrate the season debut at Tiger Stadium.

The festivities begin at 5 p.m. with a presidential tailgate on Ramsey Lawn. At 6 p.m., there will be a sophomore recognition ceremony at the stadium, followed by a pavilion dedication at 6:10 p.m. The Showband from Tigerland will perform on the field at 6:15 p.m., leading up to the kickoff at 6:30 p.m.

College officials encouraged fans to attend and support the team at Tiger Stadium as they start the season. The events aim to build excitement and community spirit ahead of the game, which promises to be a highlight of the college’s fall schedule.
