Northeast Mississippi invests in workforce training with Northrop Grumman and Accelerate MS
More than 220 people in Northeast Mississippi have started building skills for high-demand careers through workforce training programs supported by Northrop Grumman Corporation and Accelerate MS, according to a news release.
The programs are part of the NEMCC Workforce Training initiatives, which have received more than $60,000 from Northrop Grumman and over $375,000 in tools and equipment to create a modern training environment.
Northrop Grumman has also invested $2.09 million through a grant from Accelerate MS to expand training capabilities with a new Advanced Composites Lab.
Officials say the biggest investment is in people, including parents seeking better careers, recent graduates, workers seeking second chances, and families gaining financial stability. The partnership aims to connect education and industry to change lives across the region.
