State Auditor Shad White Cuts Spending to Save Nearly $1 Million

State Auditor Shad White has promoted efficiency in taxpayer spending by reducing the budget for his office. The allocation from the state general fund was decreased from FY 2025 to FY 2026 and remained unchanged for FY 2027, according to White.

The state general fund is financed through taxes such as income and retail sales taxes. White’s budget adjustments have resulted in a savings of $996,506 for the fund.
