Nursing instructor highlights human trafficking at Mississippi nursing convention
Lauren Sparks, a nursing instructor at Northeast Mississippi Community College, discussed her Doctor of Nursing Practice project on human trafficking during the Mississippi Organization for Associate Degree Nursing Convention in Tupelo.
The presentation aimed to raise awareness among nursing students and faculty from across the state about the issue.
Sparks also received the honor of being named the Most Outstanding DNP Student for the first semester at Delta State University, according to a news release. The college praised her accomplishments and her contributions to healthcare and community awareness.
