The Prentiss County Landfill will be closed Thursday, May 14, for a memorial service honoring Kenny Vires, a dedicated county employee for 32 years, according to county officials.
Thursday waste collection routes will be rescheduled to Friday, and Friday routes will be moved to Saturday. The change aims to accommodate the memorial service and ensure continued service for residents.
Vires passed away recently, and county officials expressed their condolences. They also thanked him for his decades of service and dedication to Prentiss County. The community is encouraged to keep his family, friends, and coworkers in their thoughts during this time.
