Storm threat downgraded to marginal risk for tonight

The National Weather Service has downgraded the risk level for severe weather from a higher threat to a marginal risk, or level one of five, for this evening into tonight.

Damaging winds are expected to be the primary hazard associated with the storm system, according to forecasters.

Officials advise residents to stay alert and monitor local weather updates as conditions may still produce isolated wind damage.

The slight reduction in risk suggests a lower likelihood of widespread severe weather but does not eliminate the possibility of isolated incidents.
