Tornado watch issued for parts of six states through 11 p.m. CDT

A tornado watch has been issued for parts of Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee through 11 p.m. CDT, the National Weather Service said.

Officials warned that conditions could produce tornadoes and severe storms in the affected areas. A separate watch for locations farther south is expected later this afternoon and evening.
