A large meth lab in North Mississippi was busted, multiple arrested

A large meth lab in north Mississppi was busted last week and multiple people were arrested.

From the Tishomingo county sheriffs office:

On February 10, 2020, Tishomingo County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop on a DANIEL SMITH on CR 6 for a traffic violation.  During the course of the stop, deputies found some alleged METHAMPHETAMINE on SMITH and learned that address he is living at has been under surveillance by the sheriff’s office as well as the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and the Belmont Police Department for the past few months.  The residence that SMITH was staying at was being surveilled due to large amounts of alleged METHAMPHETAMINE being distributed from the residence.

At this time, investigators issued a Search Warrant for a residence on CR 14 where DANIEL SMITH resides, 145 CR 14 and during the issuing of the Search Warrant, law enforcement officers found alleged METHAMPHETAMINE, numerous containers with chemicals mixed together that are used to manufacture METHAMPHETAMINE that was throughout the house and property.  Also, law enforcement found several guns along with drug paraphernalia, used to smoke METHAMPHETAMINE, in almost every room of the residence.  An adjacent shop was also searched where more alleged METHAMPHETAMINE was found as well.

Approximately a quarter pound of alleged METHAMPHETAMINE was recovered from the property of 145 CR 14 in Belmont.  Law Enforcement also found alleged METHAMPHETAMINE on individuals that were staying or living on the property.  Those individuals were detained and arrested as well.  The following are those that were arrested and their charges:

Smith

(1) DANIEL SMITH, 47-year-old, white male, of 145 CR 14 Belmont, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE)FELONY TRAFFICKING a CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE), and FELONY POSSESSION OF 2 OR MORE PRECURSORS. SMITH’s bond was set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court at $20,000.

Garner

(2) MICHELLE GARNER, 49-year-old, white female, of 145 CR 14 Belmont, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY TRAFFICKING a CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE) and FELONY POSSESSION OF 2 OR MORE PRECURSORS. GARNER’s bond was set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court at $10,000.

Danielle Smith

(3) DANIELLE SMITH, 26-year-old, white female, of 510 Stadium Street Red Bay, Alabama was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE). SMITH’s bond was set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court at $5,000.

Green

(4) NATHANIEL GREEN, 33-year-old, white male of 223 Petty Road Golden, Mississippi was officially charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE (METHAMPHETAMINE). GREEN’s bond was set by the Tishomingo County Justice Court at $5,000.
