Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department hiring deputies and dispatchers
The Prentiss County Sheriff's Department is accepting applications for full-time patrol deputies and seeking part-time dispatchers, according to hiring notices released by the department.
Patrol deputy applicants must be at least 21, have a high school diploma or GED and hold a valid Mississippi driver's license. They must also pass a comprehensive background investigation, physical fitness test and drug screening.
Deputy applicants can submit an application or resume in person or by mail to the sheriff's department at 1901 East Chambers Drive, Booneville, MS 38829. The notice lists 662-728-6232 for questions.
The separate dispatcher notice says hours will vary and include day and night shifts, weekends and holidays.
