Mississippi Dept of Agriculture launches online marketplace to allow you to buy directly from farmers
The Mississippi Dept of Agriculture has launched an online marketplace to allow you to buy directly from farmers to help them sell their products including produce, dairy, meat, aquaculture, seafood, row crops, honey, eggs, horticulture products and more.

The Mississippi Farm Marketplace is an online portal developed by the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce (MDAC) to connect farmers and consumers looking to purchase direct from growers. The marketplace portal was designed for farmers to list their available commodities for sale direct to the public, as well as labor needs on their farms through the job listings.
Consumers, food banks, restaurants, schools, wholesalers and retailers looking to source products direct from local Mississippi farmers can find available produce, dairy, meat, aquaculture, seafood, row crops, honey, eggs, horticulture products and more.
Farmers interested in posting commodities should click on ‘Farm Registration.’ Registrants will then be prompted to create an account and submit information about commodities for sale and contact information for buyers to contact you directly. The listing will be made live on the Mississippi Farm Marketplace website shortly after submission and release by MDAC staff.
Members of the Genuine MS® Branding Program are denoted on the marketplace portal with the Genuine MS® logo . By clicking on the logo, you will be directed to their Genuine MS® profile where you can learn more about the farm.

In light of the market disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce is proud to announce the Mississippi Farm Marketplace.
Mississippi’s food supply is abundant, plentiful and safe. We have our farmers to thank for that. They have continued to work hard during this time to keep food on our tables. The Mississippi Farm Marketplace connects our farmers and consumers. This online market portal gives farmers a place to advertise what they have for sale, while providing consumers a location to easily source local products direct from our farmers.
I encourage our farmers to utilize this portal if you have crops that you need to sell. Moreover, the Mississippi Farm Marketplace was also created as a platform to assist our farmers with fulfilling their labor needs on their farms. While searching the portal, you will see the Genuine MS® logo with some listings. This lets you know that this farmer is a member of our Genuine MS ® Branding Program. Click on the logo to learn more the farm where these products were grown and raised. Support our farmers; buy local.
