Felony Burglary Arrest

On July 10,2023, Corinth Police Department received several reports of burglaries over the weekend.

July 11, 2023 they responded to a call involving Montrel Jones, who was found to have abandoned a backpack from a prior burglary.

Jones was later found hiding under a house on Wick Street. There, they found several stolen items including a firearm.

Jones was charged with 2 counts of Burglary of a Dwelling, 2 counts of Burglary of a automobile, and possession of a stolen firearm.

Will be presented to Alcorn County grand jury.
