One day 30 degree temperature drop this weekend could bring freezing rain, strong storms

A cold front pushing through that will drop temperatures over 30 degrees this weekend along with a high likelihook for rain could lead to anything from strong storms to freezing rain or even snow.

In a true testament to Mississippi weather, various forecsts this Sunday have the following characteristics:

Freezing rain. From the NWS:
Rain will change over to freezing rain and snow late Saturday Night into Sunday. Minor ice and snow accumulations may be possible.

Wind chill values near zero.

Possibility for strong storms, including the possibibility for damaging winds and tornadoes.

Buckle up for the potential for another wild round of weather.
