Four Dead, Nine Others Positive with COVID-19 at Veterans Home

An outbreak that has occurred at a long-term care veterans home since July has claimed four lives. Nine others are also currently COVID-19 positive at the center.

The veterans home is located in Collins. Two of the nine positive cases are currently hospitalized as well.

The four deaths occurred between early and mid-August. All residents and staff at the home have been tested and will continue to be tested weekly at the four veterans homes across Mississippi.
