Alcorn county sheriffs department searching for escaped inmate

The Alcorn county sheriffs department is searching for an escaped inmate.

The inmate in question, Robert Heath, stole a vehicle in Desoto County according to WMC-TV.

The vehicle was recovered in Alcorn County.

From the Sheriffs department:

The truck stolen from the Desoto County School district was recovered on Alcorn County road 418. The suspect fled into the woods as Deputies arrived. If anyone sees Heath please contact the Sheriff’s Office at 286-5521.
