Corinth Kiwanis Gives $20,000 to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital
The Corinth Kiwanis Club has given $20,000 to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, a gift that will support pediatric care at the hospital and its Tupelo Outpatient Center — care that reaches children and families across North Mississippi, including Alcorn County.
Over the past year, members of the Corinth club spent time learning about the progress, innovation and expert care happening at Le Bonheur and the Tupelo clinic, wanting to understand exactly the difference their support would make for kids in this region.
Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, based in Memphis, serves families from across North Mississippi through its main hospital and regional outpatient clinics. The Tupelo center brings specialty pediatric care closer to home for families in Alcorn County and the surrounding area, cutting down on the travel that comes with getting a child to a specialist.
In a statement, Le Bonheur thanked the Corinth Kiwanis for what it called transformational generosity and an unwavering commitment to pediatric health.
The Kiwanis Club of Corinth has long been one of the area’s most active service organizations, and the club’s leadership said members were intentional about forging a real connection to the hospital’s mission before making the gift.
For Alcorn County families with children who need specialty care, the donation helps keep advanced pediatric services within reach — in Memphis and in Tupelo.
