Corinth Man Sentenced to 40 Years in Prison After Guilty Pleas in Alcorn County Circuit Court
CORINTH, Miss. — A Corinth man will serve 40 years in prison after entering guilty pleas during the first week of the October term of Alcorn County Circuit Court.
Antonius Bean, 24, of Corinth, pleaded guilty on Thursday, October 22, 2026, to charges of aggravated assault and accessory after the fact of murder. Circuit Judge Kelly L. Mims sentenced Bean to 20 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections on each charge, with the sentences ordered to run consecutively, for a total of 40 years to serve.
The charges resulted from investigations conducted by the Corinth Police Department, with Detectives Bo Swindle, Michael Suitor, and Heather Russell serving as lead investigators.
The accessory-after-the-fact charge was related to the alleged murder of Patrick Patterson on January 15, 2025. A suspect in that case, Rashawn Hawkins, was captured in Florida in February 2025 and returned to Mississippi to face a capital murder charge.
Bean was among multiple defendants sentenced during the first week of the October term. Each sentence followed a guilty plea and was imposed by Judge Mims, who presided over the proceedings.
