Multiple drug defendants sentenced in Prentiss County Circuit Court

BOONEVILLE, Miss. — Several defendants were sentenced on drug-related charges in the Prentiss County Circuit Court this week. All sentences were imposed by Circuit Judge Kelly L. Mims, according to a press release from the First Circuit Court District.

Mack Randle, 53, of Booneville, pleaded guilty June 11 to charges of trafficking and sale of methamphetamine. He was sentenced June 15 to 10 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections. Randle was involved in selling 26 grams and 112 grams of methamphetamine, with the charges stemming from investigations by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.

Absolomon Hines, 50, of Booneville, admitted guilt June 15 to possession of meth with intent to sell. Judge Mims sentenced him to 15 years. The charges followed a Mississippi Highway Patrol and Bureau of Narcotics investigation that found Hines with more than 13 grams of methamphetamine intended for transfer. Hines will serve five years of post-release supervision.

Tonya Shouse, 39, of Booneville, also pleaded guilty June 15 to trafficking and possession of methamphetamine. She received a 10-year sentence. The case involved approximately 108 grams of meth sold by Shouse, along with a separate incident where she possessed less than two grams. She will serve the full sentence and five years of post-release supervision.

William Prentice Brown, 44, of Booneville, pleaded guilty June 16 to trafficking, possession, and felony fleeing. He was sentenced to 10 years, with the sentence running consecutively to a current five-year sentence. Brown’s convictions resulted from separate investigations by the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department and the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit. He will serve five years of post-release supervision after completing his sentence.

Phillip Grizzard, 35, of Booneville, pleaded guilty June 18 to trafficking meth and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. He was sentenced to 10 years, which will run consecutively to a five-year sentence he is already serving. The charges originated from investigations by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and Booneville Police. Grizzard will also complete five years of post-release supervision.

Abbey Mullikin, 35, of Booneville, pleaded guilty June 18 to possession with intent to distribute meth. She received a 20-year sentence. Mullikin was charged as a co-defendant with William Prentice Brown following an investigation by the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department. She will serve five years of post-release supervision.

Tanya Savell, 48, of Booneville, pleaded guilty June 18 to two counts of sale and one count of possession of methamphetamine. She was sentenced to 15 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections. The charges stemmed from separate investigations by the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department and Booneville Police Department. Savell will also serve five years of post-release supervision.

All cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Kyle Robbins, according to the release.
