Corinth Man Sentenced to 15 Years on Drug and Firearm Charges
A Corinth man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison following his guilty plea to multiple drug and firearm charges.
According to First District Attorney Jason Herring, 48-year-old Gregory Sorrell pled guilty to felon in possession of a weapon, possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, and possession of cocaine.
Circuit Court Judge Kelly L. Mims handed down the 15-year prison sentence, which will be followed by five years of post-release supervision.
The convictions stemmed from investigations conducted by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and the Alcorn County Sheriff’s Department, with Investigator Lucas Wooten serving as lead investigator. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Kyle Robbins and Clay Cummings on behalf of the State of Mississippi.
