Mississippi man facing drug and weapons charges after bicycle traffic stop
Prentiss County investigators stopped a bicycle on July 28, 2026, for failure to stop at a traffic control device, according to officials. North Mississippi Narcotics Agent Grady Smith assisted in the stop.
During the encounter, Investigator Kolby Knight identified the rider as Danny Michael Grove Jr., 44, of Booneville. Authorities said Grove was found in possession of powder cocaine and a handgun.
Judge Ray Hall of the Prentiss County Justice Court set Grove’s bond at $20,000. North Mississippi Narcotics Agent Grady Smith will present the case to the next grand jury, officials said.
