A Booneville man has been indicted on charges of secretly photographing or videoing a minor for a lewd purpose, according to authorities.
Jason Carroll McCoy, 45, was indicted by a Prentiss County grand jury on two counts of secretly photographing or videoing a child under 16 in a place where he would reasonably expect privacy or undress. The charges stem from allegations that McCoy recorded the minor in a private setting.
The Prentiss County Circuit Court set McCoy’s bond at $30,000 following his indictment. The case was presented to the grand jury by Investigator Torie Jumper, with assistance from Investigator Aaron Stolz, officials said.
The investigation remains ongoing, and McCoy has not entered a plea. Additional details were not available at this time.
