The National Weather Service has expanded a dense fog advisory to include several additional counties in West Tennessee, officials said Friday.
The advisory warns of reduced visibility and hazardous driving conditions in affected areas. Authorities recommend drivers slow down, increase following distances, and use headlights to improve visibility.
The extension of the advisory comes as fog thickens across parts of the region, impacting travel plans. No injuries or accidents have been reported so far, but officials emphasize caution for all travelers.
The fog is expected to lift later in the day, but residents are advised to stay updated on local weather alerts.
