Disaster Service Centers open across four counties for storm recovery

Disaster Service Centers are now open in four counties to assist residents impacted by the severe storms that occurred May 6 and 7, according to state officials.

The centers provide face-to-face meetings with recovery specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency, and the Small Business Administration. They are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., officials said.

Residents seeking assistance are advised to use Disaster Number DR-4922 when applying for aid. The centers aim to streamline the recovery process for storm victims and provide direct support in affected areas.
