Meteorologists forecast heat indices exceeding 105 degrees during both days, prompting health officials to urge residents to take precautions against heat-related illnesses. The prolonged period of high temperatures is expected to pose health risks, especially for vulnerable populations.
Officials advise residents to stay hydrated, avoid strenuous outdoor activities during peak heat hours, and seek air-conditioned environments whenever possible. The weather service will continue to monitor conditions and issue updates as needed.
