Heat Advisory in Effect for Memphis Area Through Tuesday

A heat advisory remains in effect across the Memphis area through at least Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service Memphis Tennessee.

The advisory warns of heat index values between 105 and 109 degrees. Forecasters expect near-record to record-high temperatures in the upper 90s to around 100 degrees this week.

Residents are advised to take precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses during the hot weather.
