FEMA Opens Applications for Residents Affected by Tropical Storm Arthur
Residents in Hancock, Harrison, Pearl River, and Stone counties affected by Tropical Storm Arthur can now apply for FEMA Individual Assistance, according to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency.
Applicants can choose from three methods: online at DisasterAssistance.gov, by phone at 800-621-FEMA (3362), or through the FEMA app, which is available for free download.
To qualify, applicants must meet basic requirements, including U.S. citizenship or qualified status, identity verification through a Social Security number or accepted documents, proof of home ownership or occupancy, and evidence that unmet needs are not covered by insurance.
