The final defendant has been sentenced for embezzling $400,000 from the Department of Education, the Justice Department announced.
The case was part of an investigation conducted by the Trump administration’s National Fraud Enforcement Division. The scheme involved three school employees from Mississippi and Missouri, who stole funds intended for educational purposes.
