Heat Advisory Extended for Areas Along and West of Mississippi River
A Heat Advisory remains in effect for areas along and west of the Mississippi River, where heat indices are forecasted to exceed 105 degrees this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service in Memphis.
The heat will intensify through midweek, with indices approaching or surpassing 110 degrees. Officials warn that Heat Advisories could be extended or upgraded to Extreme Heat Warnings if conditions worsen.
