Scattered showers persist along and west of Mississippi River

Scattered showers are expected to continue throughout the day, primarily along and west of the Mississippi River, according to weather forecasts. The chance of measurable rainfall is higher in these areas, while the risk of thunderstorms remains low.

Most of the showers are expected to dissipate by sunset, leading to clearer conditions in the evening. Weather officials recommend residents stay updated on local forecasts for any changes.

There have been no reports of severe weather associated with the showers, and authorities advise caution while traveling in wet conditions.
