To help children learn about hurricane safety, the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) has released a new coloring book featuring its Preparedness Robot, MEMITE. The book aims to teach safety tips through engaging, age-appropriate activities.
The agency encourages families to download the coloring book as part of their preparedness efforts. The resource is available on the MEMA website at https://www.msema.org/prepare/mema-guides-and-publications.
Officials emphasize the importance of being prepared and staying informed ahead of the hurricane season, which officially begins on June 1 and runs through November 30.
