The spring squirrel hunting season in Mississippi opened Wednesday and runs through June 1, according to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks.
Hunters can access extensive public land opportunities, including Wildlife Management Areas, National Wildlife Refuges, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lands, for squirrel hunting during the season.
