The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has asked the community to keep the family of a deputy and the department in their prayers. The department did not specify the circumstances of the deputy’s death.
Authorities are providing support to the family and ongoing assistance to colleagues affected by the loss, according to the sheriff’s office.
Community members are encouraged to show support and keep those impacted in their thoughts during this difficult time.
