Mid-South experiences scattered clouds, temperatures near 90°F in southern areas

Scattered clouds continue across parts of the Mid-South on Wednesday, according to local weather reports. Temperatures range from the 80s in the northern counties to near 90 degrees in the southern areas.

A Heat Advisory remains in effect for portions of north to central Mississippi, where high temperatures could pose health risks, the National Weather Service said. Residents are advised to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Bertha in the Gulf of Mexico is not expected to impact the Mid-South, forecasters said. The storm remains offshore with no significant threats to land or local weather conditions.
