Mississippi Driver Service Bureau honors top employees and stations

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety’s Driver Service Bureau held its annual General Assembly and training session this week. The event included recognition of employees and stations for their achievements across the state, according to department officials.

Department leaders also welcomed Captain Timothy Simmons and Mimzie Dennis from the Texas Department of Public Safety, who shared insights with attendees. The awards recognized individuals for their dedication, teamwork, and professionalism, from fast transaction times to exceptional customer service, officials said.

Award winners included Cassandra Marsh as Assistant Manager of the Year, Teshia Johnson as CDL Employee of the Year, and Quanza Harper as Employee of the Year. Other awards went to Ruth Evans for the 2025 Customer Service Award, Amy Fortenberry as Manager of the Year, and Tommie Taylor for longest service. Multiple stations were also recognized for efficiency and customer service, including Canton, Corinth, Columbia, Greenville, Kiln, and Jackson stations.

Officials expressed pride in the team’s work, emphasizing the department’s ongoing commitment to improving service for the public. The event highlighted the department’s focus on reducing wait times, increasing transaction speed, and boosting organ donor registrations.
