Mississippi Emergency Management Agency Assists Communities After Severe Weather

The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency is actively responding to severe weather that affected communities across the state. Officials provided images of damage in Lamar and Lincoln counties as part of their ongoing recovery efforts.

MEMA encourages volunteers to avoid self-deploying and instead work through verified organizations or nonprofits already assisting in the affected areas. Coordinated efforts help ensure resources are used safely and efficiently, agency officials said.

Donations are also being accepted to support recovery. A list of needs, drop-off locations, and operating hours for donation sites can be found on the agency’s website at msema.org.
