Mississippi Public Safety Officials Discuss Alert Programs at Hinds County Event

Officials from the Mississippi Department of Public Safety’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Special Operations Division, and Major Crimes Division spoke at the Hinds County Citizens Academy earlier this week.

The team provided an overview of public safety alerts, including AMBER Alerts, Endangered Missing Child Alerts, Silver Alerts, and Blue Alerts, according to department officials.

The presentation aimed to educate residents about resources available to help keep Mississippi safe, the department said.

Organizers expressed appreciation for the opportunity to engage with the community and raise awareness about public safety initiatives.
