Mississippi public safety officials recognized for service at Top Cop event

Several law enforcement officers and public safety personnel from across Mississippi were recognized for their service during the Top Cop event earlier this week.

The ceremony honored individuals from multiple agencies, including the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, and Capitol Police.

Recipients included Cameron Shaffer of the Mississippi Highway Patrol, Russ Gordon and Norman Harris of the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, Matthew Cassada and Ethan Harrell of the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, and Marcellous Charleston, Robert Alexander, and Tomekia Bowling of Capitol Police.

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety praised the honorees for their commitment to public safety and their professionalism in representing the agency.
