Mississippi State Parks Offer July 4th Celebrations with Fireworks and Activities

Seven Mississippi state parks will host Fourth of July celebrations, according to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks.

Participating parks include Buccaneer State Park, Roosevelt State Park, Paul B. Johnson State Park, Percy Quin State Park, Clarkco State Park, Trace State Park, and John Kyle State Park.

Events will feature swimming, fishing, and outdoor recreation throughout the day. Visitors can enjoy family activities, live entertainment, and fireworks displays in the evening, department officials said.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets to enjoy the festivities. More information about the events is available on the department’s website.

The celebrations are part of the statewide observance of Independence Day, emphasizing community, family, and outdoor fun, officials added.
