Mississippi State Parks to host seven major Fourth of July celebrations

Mississippi State Parks are preparing for seven major Fourth of July celebrations, according to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks.

Participating parks include Buccaneer State Park, Roosevelt State Park, Paul B. Johnson State Park, Percy Quin State Park, Clarkco State Park, Trace State Park, and John Kyle State Park. Each location will host its own unique Independence Day event, starting July 3 and running through July 4.

The parks will offer activities suitable for all ages, providing a variety of ways to celebrate the holiday. In addition to these large events, all Mississippi State Parks will host smaller, more relaxed America 250 celebrations, encouraging community participation across the state.

Visitors are encouraged to plan a day of outdoor fun and patriotic festivities at a state park near them. Details about specific events can be found at the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks website.
