Mississippi Wildlife Department Announces Winners of 2026 Youth Art Contest
The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks’ Visitor Education Center announced the winners of its 2026 Youth Art Contest. Approximately 1,150 students from across the state participated in the competition.
First-place winners include Charlsie Johnson for her piece, “The Hummingbird in the Morning,” in Category I; Wesley Clark for “Squirrel in a Tree” in Category II; Willow Kinkead for “Opossum Passage” in Category III; and Mack Hutson for “Whispers of the Bayou” in Category IV.
The contest was sponsored by the Mississippi Wildlife, Fisheries, Parks Marine Foundation. The department encourages the public to view the artwork of the top finishers online at the department’s website.
