Officials advised hunters to purchase any required licenses, including the new Wild Turkey Stamp, before heading into the woods. This applies to both resident and non-resident hunters planning to hunt on public land.
Hunters are encouraged to review their draw status promptly and ensure they have all necessary permits for the upcoming season. The spring turkey season typically begins in March, with details available through the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks.
