Applications are now open for the 2026 Wildlife Management Area (WMA) draw hunts in Missouri, offering opportunities for deer, early teal, rabbit, and dove hunting. The application period closes August 15, 2026, according to the Missouri Department of Conservation.
Hunters can apply through the Missouri Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks (MDWFP) online license system. Each species has a limited number of hunt choices, which applicants select during the process. More information about hunt options is available on the WMA Draw Hunt page.
To apply, hunters must log into their MDWFP account or create one if they do not already have one. They must also secure any necessary prerequisites, such as a WMA User Permit, a lifetime hunting license, or a youth or senior exempt license. After logging in, applicants go to the Draw Opportunities tab and add their preferred hunts to their cart. The application process is free, and applicants can prioritize their hunt choices.
Once selections are made, hunters review their cart and complete the application by clicking ‘Complete Transaction.’ Successful submissions will trigger email and inbox notifications confirming their application.
