Prentiss County Deputy Ethan Hester conducted a traffic stop on August 6, 2026, for alleged equipment violations, authorities said.
During the stop, Linda Strange, 59, of Booneville, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and child abuse, specifically for allowing a child to be present during the incident, according to officials.
Judge Ray Hall of Prentiss County Justice Court set Strange’s bond at $15,000. North Mississippi Narcotics Agent Grady Smith plans to present the case to the next grand jury.
Deputy N’shaun Cameron assisted Hester during the traffic stop, authorities said.
