Mount Olive police announced that 18-year-old Cortavious Lawayne Hobbs and 19-year-old Cortavion Dewayne Hobbs have been located and arrested without incident, ending an ongoing search.
The two suspects were wanted in connection with an officer-involved shooting that occurred June 8th around 3:38 p.m. in Mount Olive, Mississippi, according to a Blue Alert issued by authorities. Both are considered armed and dangerous and may be in the area of the 200 block of South Bluff Street, Covington County.
Authorities described Cortavious Hobbs as a black male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He was wearing a black hoodie at the time. Cortavion Hobbs is also described as a black male, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 140 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair, wearing a camouflage hoodie during the incident.
Police urged the public to call 911 immediately if they see either suspect or observe any suspicious activity. Anyone with information about their whereabouts was also encouraged to contact the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation at 855-642-5378.
