Northeast launches diagnostic medical sonography program to train imaging specialists

Northeast Community College has announced a new Diagnostic Medical Sonography program designed to train students in advanced imaging techniques. The 12-month, full-time associate degree prepares graduates to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients through various imaging modalities.

The program covers abdominal, vascular, obstetric, and gynecological imaging. It combines hands-on clinical training with classroom instruction, aiming to prepare students for the national American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification.

Graduates of the program can pursue careers in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare settings. Applications are due by May 1. Interested individuals can apply online at the provided link.
