Northeast Mississippi Community College helps students shape future careers

When choosing a college, students select the people who will influence their future. For Kamiron Harris of Baldwyn, that began the day she met her advisor, Mary Beth Reeves.

Reeves and Harris developed a plan to help Harris achieve her goal of becoming a nurse. The guidance continued throughout her enrollment in the Practical Nursing program.

Harris said instructors challenged her, encouraged her, and showed genuine care for her success. She also built lifelong friendships and gained hands-on experience by attending nursing conventions across Mississippi.

Harris graduated with confidence and said Northeast Mississippi Community College not only prepared her to become a nurse but also made her a better person.

The college emphasizes that success is supported every step of the way, from initial advising to graduation. Prospective students are encouraged to visit NEMCC.edu to learn more and apply.
