Northeast Mississippi Community College to host Tiger Band Camp in August

Northeast Mississippi Community College will host its Tiger Band Camp from August 3 to 6, welcoming the 2026-2027 band members to campus for a week of rehearsals and team-building activities, according to college officials.

The camp aims to prepare students for the upcoming season while fostering friendships and traditions. Participants are advised to review the schedule to stay informed about check-in times, rehearsals, meals, and daily activities.

With summer temperatures in Mississippi high, safety measures are emphasized. Students are encouraged to stay hydrated, wear tennis shoes, take scheduled breaks, and be aware of signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke, college representatives said.

Officials expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming season, noting they look forward to seeing the band’s sound and spirit come to life during camp. The college invites community members to stay tuned for updates on the band’s activities.
