Prentiss County deputies arrest three juveniles in vehicle break-ins

Prentiss County sheriff’s deputies arrested three juvenile males following a series of vehicle burglaries and an attempted home break-in, according to the sheriff’s office.

The investigation began after deputies received reports of vehicle break-ins and vandalism at a local residence. Deputies Dennis Peeks and Rusty McCoy responded to the initial calls and followed leads provided by the community.

The deputies located two juveniles at a home on County Road 2291 and recovered stolen property. Evidence found at the scene indicated additional vehicle break-ins that owners had not yet reported. Authorities later arrested a third juvenile male.

The three juveniles face multiple charges, including four counts of vehicle burglary, attempted residence burglary, and several misdemeanors, according to the sheriff’s office. The investigation was led by Investigator Torie Jumper, with assistance from Investigator Aaron Stolz and school resource officers Brandon Slack and Ridge Lawson.

The sheriff’s office said there may be more victims. Residents near Highway 365 or County Road 2291 who notice missing items are encouraged to contact the department to file a report.
