Prentiss County man charged with meth possession after traffic stop
Prentiss County Constable Bryon Parker arrested a Florence, Alabama, man following a traffic stop on June 23, 2026, according to sheriff’s officials.
Parker was patrolling County Road 8301 when he spotted a Ford F-150 with Alabama license plates parked in a dangerous spot over a hill. The vehicle was in the middle of the roadway.
When Parker approached the vehicle, he found the driver, identified as Jesse Biffle, 44, passed out behind the wheel. Parker woke him up and saw a small plastic baggie on the center console.
Biffle was charged with possession of methamphetamine, DUI involving another substance, switched tags, and obstruction of traffic. His bond was set at $10,000 during a court hearing before Judge Ray Hall, according to authorities.
North Mississippi Narcotics Agent Grady Smith will present the case to the next grand jury, officials said.
