Severe Storm Risk Forecast for Wednesday Evening

Weather officials have issued a level 2 of 5 (slight) risk for severe storms Wednesday afternoon into the night. The primary threat is damaging winds, the National Weather Service said.

The risk applies to areas likely to experience thunderstorms capable of producing strong winds that could cause damage. No other specific threats, such as tornadoes or hail, were emphasized in the alert.

Residents in the affected regions are advised to stay alert and monitor local weather updates as the evening approaches. Authorities recommend securing outdoor objects and being prepared for possible power outages.

Further updates are expected as the weather system develops overnight, officials added.
