Severe weather risk increases along Tennessee-Mississippi border

Forecasters issued an updated outlook Monday, indicating the greatest risk for severe weather will be along and south of the Tennessee-Mississippi state line through 10 p.m.

The primary threats include damaging winds and large hail, according to the National Weather Service.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay alert and seek shelter if severe weather develops, officials said.
